The experienced and passionate team at Vetcare Vets, have been providing quality care to animals in the Wairarapa region for 21 years. We are well known as the friendly holistic vets offering a personal level of care.
Our two well-equipped clinics offer:
- Consulting rooms
- Well-equipped surgical suites with treatment/dental area.
- Equipment includes digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound imaging, an in-house lab for blood work.
- Our veterinarian team’s special interests are broad and varied, spanning from emergency medicine/surgery, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, and dentistry.
- Our clinics are open Mon to Fri from 8:30am to 5.00pm. We have Saturday clinics and offer emergency services 24/7.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide effective support to veterinarians in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthetic monitoring, animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection.
- Maintain an excellent level of patient care and customer service at all times, treating every patient as if they were your own.
- Maintain a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness in the hospital and kennel areas at all times.
- Assist with reception and administration tasks as required.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a minimum of 2 years' work experience as a fully qualified veterinary nurse.
Ability to work well and multitask under pressure.
- A keen desire to deliver excellent standards of patient care and customer service at all times.
- Excellent general computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine love for animals and their people.
